My painting practice is a journey of inner discovery.
Working in many layers, I create depth that mirrors the complexity of living and the unseen dimensions within us.
Each brushstroke allows colour, texture, and light to emerge naturally, forming a dialogue between the visible and the hidden.
My work is inspired by the interconnectedness of the world that surrounds us, seeking to inspire recognition of our shared essence.
My art is an invitation to open our hearts and see the beauty of the world around us and beauty within us.

Meet the artist
Nives U. Lubej is a Slovenian citizen, living in Slovenia. She always loved creating. As a child, she colored every coloring book, every blank page, everything she could find, in her own unique way. The desire to paint and create was always present, although her family did not support her wish to study at the Academy of Arts, believing such a path would not lead to success in life. Instead, she graduated in a technical field, becoming a Marine Engineer – a choice that deeply conflicted with her creative nature and stirred strong inner struggles.
Yet throughout those years, she never stopped painting. Discovering watercolours, acrylics and oils, and finding the right canvases, opened up a new world for her. Every free moment became an opportunity to express her creativity through art. Without formal training, her paintings were a direct reflection of her inner world.
The style she had been intuitively developing over the years found its refinement at th eMilan art institute, shaping her works into the rich and vibrant paintings she creates today.
She has always been drawn to the motif of a woman, to energy, and to nature. These continue to flow through her art, carrying the message that we are all one, and that within each of us lies so much more than what can be seen. All we need is the courage to open ourselves to it.
